Teaching / Workshops

TEACHING CLOSED FOR NOW  9/2019 - unknown

I'd LOVE to visit your guild / shop to teach a class, a workshop, talk about sewing and/or quilting, or give a trunk show. Or I can show up and juggle, but I'm not great at that...
Building our Sewing Community is my main goal.

TRUNK SHOWS include jabbering about quilts, garment sewing, and bags. I'll share what I've learned and why some things work out and some don't. The biggest message I have is: don't quit.
I love class participation, bring your fave quilt or bag or garment and let's talk about it too. This usually gets pretty interactive.  :D

Lecture topics
(Suggestions are always welcome FYI--- I'm flexible!)

-Patchwork it!
My style is super duper patchwork- I use what I have on hand. From garments to bags to my 70's style quilts, I LOVE PATCHWORK and I'll share my tips with you.

-Creating amazing bags and quilts with vinyl.
I'll bring my vinyl work and you'll see why all vinyl is not created equal. YES I've made QUILTS with it.

-The Beginner's Guide to BEGINNING.
(Sewing and quilting in general, ignoring that voice in your head that says you're not good enough, ignoring the perfection seeking, and making for the love of making.)

-Garment sewing baby steps with street wise tips and tricks + tried & true pattern discussion.

REAL TALK on pattern designing - Adobe, writing, printing, editing, and testing process.
Yes it all matters. A  L O T.
