Teaching / Workshops

I'd LOVE to visit your guild / shop to teach a class, a workshop, talk about sewing and/or quilting, or give a trunk show. Or I can show up and juggle, but I'm not great at that...
Building our Sewing Community is my main goal.

-Patchwork it!
My style is super duper patchwork- I use what I have on hand. From garments to bags to my 70's style quilts, I LOVE PATCHWORK and I'll share my tips with you.

-Creating amazing bags and quilts with vinyl.
I'll bring my vinyl work and you'll see why all vinyl is not created equal. YES I've made QUILTS with it.

 VINYL 101
Make a vinyl Santorini tote in ANY size including zipper pocket construction and working with various types of vinyls. Each student will have a roll of vinyl provided. (6 to 8  hr workshop)
Vinyl Easy Zipper cases course is another option (4 hrs).
Teflon foot a must.

Let me show you how to make PERFECT zipper cases out of almost any material - vinyl, cork, cotton, old wrappers fused together, re-purposed rice bags, whatever etc...   I've made about a thousand, and learned the hard way what NOT to do.   (4hrs)

I'll show you how to piece your scraps together in a pleasing and eye catching way to create a truly ONE OF A KIND bag using one of my patterns. (8 hrs)

Contract required for booking.

Lectures and Trunk shows $200 / 1 hr  + travel cost
Patterns and vinyl will be on a table for sale.

Workshops approximations
$500 / 6-8 hr day workshop

Mileage and transportation fees (airfare etc) to be determined. I fly from Madison,WI Dane County Airport NOT Chicago, thanks for understanding.

No limit on student roster however I may ask for an assistant if list is over twelve people.

Shops are welcome to sell kits including my pattern and vinyl! You can buy wholesale from Checker Distributors (vinyl and patterns) or Brewer (patterns only).

Want to teach your own class with my pattern? YAY!!!!!!! Please do! Each student will need THEIR OWN pattern. Thank you a mil for understanding and supporting my business.

See you soon!
