Have you ever made a doll? For you or somebody special?

I think I'll name her Anais. With that accent thingy.

I can't believe how much I love this doll.
I never thought I'd be a doll maker at all--but now I can't wait to make another!

I know it's macabre, but I want to make a cute zombie doll now. I found some great inspiration on Pinterest but feel like I could do my own style now that I have the basics down. Nothing scary, more Jack Skellington than actual gross zombie.

Also made a raccoon and owl from a Simplicity pattern I got for free in a magazine. These came together so quickly, and my kids love 'em.

Bubble break:

The extra large bag for shopping/ packing/ carrying all your family's sh*t because that's what we do as Moms.

Living among the military, these passport wallets have been such a great seller for me. A lady asked me to make hers with a zippered pocket-which made me wonder why I'd never done it before....so here it is, the latest version of my passport wallet:

It does take me twice as long, and who knew a little pocket like that would take another four pieces of fabric? Those lined pockets are fiddly little things LOL.

Been working on some sugar skull brooches as well, trying to find a way that's more time manageable because this baby is taking W A Y too long to make.

Only an eight into it and I feel tired.
You know how long it took me to cut a skull that didn't look all crazy? Too long.
LOL

It's almost time for school to start again, the weather has already changed drastically. I love fall weather-I don't mind rain and clouds-they make me feel like I'm in a Daphne du Maurier novel. Which brings me to ask----have you ever been so enraptured with a book you read till four am? Not even realizing it's so late/early? My latest fetish is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.(Historical fiction with a mega watt love story intertwined.) Oh my mercy jones they are amazing! It's well established I have a "thing" for kilt clad heroes, but you guys, no joke-this just gallops along and I'm unable to put it down. You can find it here:

Let me know what you're up to lately. Has your clan departed for school yet? Are you busy with new ideas? Are you sewing, quilting, painting, reading, crocheting, or just eating chocolate? LOL

XOXO
