Union Jack Quilt purple rain style.

Every time I finish a Union Jack quilt I want to keep it.
Every . Time .

This one is twin bed size, completely quilted on my little trusty Bernina 1008.

I made the dark purple binding to make it all come together, nicely framed. The quilting is random stippling. Did I spell that right?

Most of the fabric is Kona cotton, Amy Butler, Riley Blake, and of course- Jennifer Paganelli. I love the saturated hues of Jen's line. Every fabric line she comes out with is absolutely stunning.

It's not washed yet, so it will become even more textured once washed and dried.

Every time someone asks me to do something out of my norm, (like purple)--  I hesitate....

I should know by now, it's a good thing to step outside the comfort zone. A very good thing.

Off to another great supporter of hand made.

Thank you friends for every encouraging comment, smile, and your patience.

I'm going to bed early tonight. ;)

  3. Oh my gosh that is gorgeous! No wonder you want to keep it. I don't think I've seen Jack done this way with patchwork. Love all the bits and pieces.

Thanks for your very kind comment on my "just thinking" post the other day. It has been so centering to hear my choices affirmed. I know I shouldn't "need" that, but sometimes it really helps. So thanks!
