Ingredients:
2 cups regular rolled oats (quick cooking oats work)
1 cup slivered almonds or your fave nut
1/2 cup coconut flakes (optional)
1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup honey
3 tbps maple syrup
2 tbs canola oil
1 cup slivered almonds or your fave nut
1/2 cup coconut flakes (optional)
1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup honey
3 tbps maple syrup
2 tbs canola oil
1/2 cup ...ok I'm lying 1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries (Craisins)
In a large bowl combine everything except liquids (honey, oil, syrup).
Mix the liquids together in a separate bowl, whisking them so they mix into each other a bit better.
Add liquids to the dry mixture coating everything really well.
Spread onto a baking sheet (I covered mine with foil first to save time at cleanup) and bake at 300 F or 160 C for about...well.....till brown- ish.
(Mine took 30 minutes, but I watched it as she (Miss Oven) misbehaves quite often.)

I know these pictures are terrible, sorry-it's so dark by 4pm now! Grrrrr....
Throw this into a gallon Ziplock bag and enjoy it for a week--if it lasts that long with hungry people around.
:)
It will freeze for up to two months as well.
