Great Days Out: The Midlands

 Kirby Hall, England.

This weekend The Festival of History, put on by English Heritage, was cancelled- much to my dismay. With no warning of closures on their website (of course, so typically English*) -- we had to make the best of it.
The petrol was already spent, so we went a few miles more up to Kirby Hall .

What a lovely place to see.

*This is another reason I always carry a copy of The English Heritage book in my car. This is not the first time "plans" have changed, unannounced.

I textures.

 A room with a view.

This is such a glorious room.

So, our plans of viewing jousting and Medieval life may not have worked out, but this was almost as good. :)

Have a lovely weekend.
