These adorable die cuts are from Simply Homemade Magazine . 

I can't wait to use them in my projects.

Here is my endeavor at making another Union Flag quilt: 

Epic fail.

I'm now writing my own pattern, as this tutorial I could not follow for the life of me. 

Oh well, sometimes it works, sometimes my mind just doesn't "get it".....

I did fix it a bit with some ric rac, but it still isn't quite right. 

That's ok.

I'll give it another go next week.
