I made this dress a while back, and never took pictures.
Ruby and I decided to do an impromptu photo session.

I need to shorten it, as it hits me in the most awful part of the leg...didn't realize it until now. Needs to be a bit shorter, yes? Wouldn't look as matronly on my short frame, and my calves wouldn't look like heifers.
:P
High heels would have been much better, too. (Sigh). The perils of doing 100 things at once.
It looks much lovelier on the model here .
Get the pattern here at JamieChristina.com
This was super easy to sew, as all Jamie Christina patterns are.
Have you seen my other makes from her line?
Here there are if not:
The Honey Girl Top
....which I also made into a dress:
The versitile Mission Maxi :
(here as a top)
(and here as a dress)
Go buy some of her patterns, you will be pleasantly surprised that yes, you can -make clothing.
I'm off to make the Pretty Ditty Apron now. Find it here.
See you :)
I need to make some tops, thought that would be a good way to get back into sewing. I like the idea of makings things with fabrics I like in styles I like, hard to find both in the stores.
