DIY Simple Luxuries Lavender Eye Pillow

These rice bags are filled with rice and lavender. Pop them in the microwave for 45 seconds and then hold them against your tummy, your forehead, over your eyes, on a sore shoulder, etc.....

OR use them as sewing pattern weights like I do! LOL

Here we go:

Gather some soft cotton material.
Measure fabric and cut two rectangles at 9" wide x 5" tall.

Pin right sides together and sew around the edges leaving at least two inches for turning right side out again. I usually put a double pin where I need to stop sewing:

Clip Corners

Turn right side out.

Gather a funnel, rice, and lavender (optional).
Put about 1 cup of rice into the bag with the funnel.
Sprinkle a few pieces of lavender in with the rice.

Fold in the opening and sew it closed.

Give some as gifts perhaps with a basket of goodies like bath soaps, bubbles, plushy socks...mmmmmmmm
