I made these letters for a friend's daughter.
They're stuffed a bit and then wrapped in various fabrics from Moda.
How I did it: I bought those cardboard letters found in craft shops like Hobby Lobby. I then hot glued polyfill stuffing to the front side of the letter, spreading it around evenly. After this step I wrapped (and wrapped and wrapped!!) the letters with long strips of fabric. Some letters were really tricky, so they have many layers of fabric just so I could get all the bits covered. It wasn't particularly easy, but I think it's worth it in the end. Especially when Anthropologie charges 12 pounds per letter...yikes. (That's almost $20 per letter.) My project cost $4/letter plus the minimal cost for glue and fabric, so hardly much more than $5 each. That's a nice savings in my eyes! :o)
...And as I always say-if I can do it, ANYONE can. Go on. ♥
Now I'm off to finish Mia's letters.
I love these for a baby's room! Can you give us a little detail on how you did it? I really like this!
