Do you suffer from fabric addiction?

If yes, than you probably have a scrap pile that mimics Everest. Or is this just me?

I decided to put an end to the madness and use up quite a bit of that ol' scrap pile on these duvet covers.

 I used snaps at the end on the first one ---

and satin ribbons on the other.

I like the mismatched feel to the first one. (It was on purpose.)

Some of these pieces are re purposed clothes.

 Snaps keep the blanket inside the cover.

A duvet  from the French duvet [dyˈvɛ] "down"), is a type of bedding — a soft flat bag traditionally filled with down or feathers, or a combination of both, and used on a bed as a blanket...

Don't laugh, I didn't know what "duvet" REALLY meant until living here in Europe.

I knew it was like a bedspread, but what exactly....I wasn't sure. I know, how uncultured of me.

What will you make with your scrap bits?

Or "remnants" I suppose is a better word, much more civilized sounding.       :o)
