Sewing Domestics: Sweetheart Corset Apron

Here you can see the eyelets for the corset look.
I think next time some interfacing underneath the fabric would be better.
These seemed a little loose until I reinforced the fabric.

My mannequin is velvet, so it looks like it's pulling on the bodice here, but it doesn't....

I'm really happy with this creation. It's made from this book, with a few of my own  modifications:

Sew Liberated: 20 Stylish Projects for the Modern Sewist

If you want my tips and tricks for putting it together faster, just email me. I'm happy to share!

  1. Nothing like a little "heat" in the kitchen. Girlfriend, you're smokin'! ;-) Thanks for sharing your latest creation. I hope you have a great weekend.

  2. Hello, thanks for dropping by my blog, I would be very interested to know how many craft books you own!! I couldn't reply as you are a no-reply blogger. Let me know if you want to fix this so people can reply to your comments (and you can win giveaways!) and I'll tell you how.

  3. Gorgeous! It's like a dress for cooking! As the previous poster said, you'll be "smokin'" in the kitchen!

I appreciate every comment, thanks so much for taking the time. It means A LOT to me. :)
