Summer Fun Popsicle Bunting
I love popsicles-I used to eat them by the box as a kid...literally. So what's more fun than turning this super cute fabric into bunting? Use it outside, inside, at the beach on your umbrella, really anywhere.Supplies:
Fabric of your choice, brown felt, paper for template, and jumbo ric rac. Let's get started.
1. Make your template. It's really easy-just use a ruler for straight lines, and then draw a curve to connect the lines. It doesn't need to be perfect. Draw your stick onto brown felt.
2. Cut out your popsicle and your "stick".
3. Put right sides together for the popsicle part and sew together, leaving the entire bottom open for turning.
4. Turn right side out and press. Fold the botton edge up to make a nice hem, and slide in your felt stick. Now sew this opening closed and then continue on and topstitch the entire
popsicle.
Press again after topstitching.
5. Pin the completed popsicles onto the jumbo ricrac. I just eyeballed it, but measure it out if you want.
Done!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea. If I had one of these fun buntings, I would use it for summer b-day parties, since we often serve popsicles and/or ice cream. It would really liven things up. I also left a comment on your giveaway page about this! Thanks!
